About Centirium
The infrastructure layer for solar financing in Nigeria.
Centirium connects impact financiers — banks, DFIs, and ESG funds — with solar installers and end-users in Nigeria. Repayment is enforced by a proprietary IoT smart meter, not credit scores or collateral, enabling device-secured financing for customers the traditional financial system cannot reach.
The problem
Hundreds of millions of people across Africa lack reliable electricity. Solar hardware exists. Impact capital exists. But traditional financing cannot bridge the gap — no credit histories, no collateral, no formal addresses. The infrastructure to connect capital with rooftops safely has been missing.
Our approach
Centirium replaces credit risk with hardware enforcement. Every financed solar installation includes a proprietary IoT smart meter that ties power supply to repayment status. Missed payment disconnects; confirmed payment reconnects — automatically, via webhook, with no manual intervention. The device is the collateral.
What Centirium is not
Not a lender
Centirium does not lend money or hold funds. Capital flows between financier and customer through existing payment rails.
Not a payment processor
Repayment status arrives via webhook from the financier's own processor. Centirium acts on that signal but never touches the money.
Not a solar company
Centirium does not manufacture panels or install systems. Partner installers handle deployment; Centirium provides the platform and smart meter.
